I started my energy healing work about 10 years ago. I was in a place where I was not able to sleep and I was on the verge of depression. I knew there was another way to come back into balance other than the medications I was being prescribed, I just didn't know how to do it, or if it even existed.
The first class I took was Reflexology. That was a life changing class for me, in more ways than one! Not only was I introduced to a new way of thinking, I also met my future husband at that class! You really never know what's around the corner!
Shortly after that, I took my first Reiki class. I am now a Reiki Master and am excited to teach Reiki to people who are ready to change their lives and the lives of others.
That first Reflexology class and Reiki class piqued my curiosity in energy therapy and I've gone on to be certified in a variety of modalities. I have taken classes in Spinal Touch, Quantum Touch, Color Therapy, Dowsing, Shamballa, and Oneness Blessings. I have a Diploma as a Relaxation Therapist and a Bachelor of Sciences in Metaphysics. I am working on my Masters in Metaphysics and then I'll complete my PhD thereafter. I have also taken some training with crystal therapy and drumming. I am also thrilled to tell you that I have taken training to become a yoga instructor and now teach a variety of classes in my community. I once thought of Yoga to be for those tree huggers and really flexible people. I have since learned that Yoga provides a different journey for us all.
Another modality that changed my life is EFT...Emotional Freedom Technique. EFT literally changed my life. I suffered with panic attacks for nearly 15 years and had found no relief with any of my other modalities, nor with conventional medicine or traditional talk therapy. With EFT, my panic attacks disappeared after 20 minutes of "tapping". It really is amazing.
Other than that, I keep busy with my family and my courses. I love to learn, which is good because there is so much to learn! I try to instill this love of learning into my children and into my students. There are some wonderful books out there to read, classes to take, people to talk to....all to help you on your journey or to just give you some food for thought. I once read this quote. "I speak from my present level of ignorance." and thought it was so profound. The more we learn, the more questions we have so the more we learn and so on. What joy there is in learning......
I believe in the power of thought and the power of words. My mentors include Louise L. Hay, Wayne Dyer, Sierra Bender, Sonia Choquette...all of whom I had the pleasure of meeting, Og Mandino, Donna Eden, and Raymon Grace...just to name a few of many. I believe in their message that we are in control of our lives and that we do so with our thoughts and our words.
I meet once a week with a group of people who love Reiki and energy work as much as I do. How wonderful it is to have that network here and to be able to share ideas and thoughts
I so strongly believe that we can heal this world and that we owe it to Mother Earth to put every effort we can into doing so. I enjoy taking walks in nature and touching the grass as I walk, the trees and the flowers, giving thanks to Mother Earth as I do. It's time we started giving back instead of always taking, and by saying "Thank You", we are increasing the vibration of the Earth, and that is healing in itself. It's often the little things that do mean so much.
I also believe in Love....love for each other, love for our Earth and, most importantly, love for ourselves. This quote says so much....

My journey down the energy path has only just begun, and I'm excited and eager to see where it leads. I have so many people who have helped me along the way and I only hope that I can inspire you in the same way these people and friends have inspired me.
